The presence of authigenic concrete that perfectly covers clastic rocks with a film of nitrite gives to the material a high resistance, making it difficult to be modelled, therefore limiting its use to exterior paving. Furthermore, Alberese stone has a low imbibition coefficient and is not vulnerable to the weakening effects of water saturation. Click images to enlarge
